I am Nabanita Mukherjee. I have completed my M.Sc in Organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur in 2017 and served as a DBT JRF(project) in Indian Institute of Chemical Biology. I have joined the SG group at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur on 22nd July 2019. Currently, I am working on Peptide-based soft materials and therapeutics for various neurodegenerative diseases. Apart from research, I love reading novels and listening to soft rock music.

Surojit Ghosh (Ph.D. Student)

I did my B.Sc. Hons(chemistry) from the University of Calcutta (2014) and M.Sc. (2016 in organic chemistry) from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda centenary college (Rahara) then I later worked for two years in Industry at TCG Lifesciences Kolkata, and Jubilant chemsys, Noida. Meanwhile, I Qualified GATE and NET LS and joined the SG group in July 2019. My broad area of interest includes the design and synthesis of small molecules having neuroprotective abilities. Moreover, I like  Travelling, Singing in my free time.

Subhadra Nandi ( M.Tech.-Ph.D Student )

I have done my B.Tech in Biotechnology from Techno India University, West Bengal, and was the departmental topper of the Batch-2015-2019. My Bachelor's project was based on the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology domain. I was selected as a Summer Research Fellow by IAS-NASI-INSA(2018). I have also qualified GATE in the year 2019 and presently I am enrolled in the M.Tech-PhD Dual Degree course in the Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering at IIT Jodhpur. I joined the SG Group in July 2019 because of my keen interest in interdisciplinary research which will primarily focus on mimicking biological phenomena in the microfluidics platform.

Shubham Garg (Ph.D. Student)

I did my Master’s in Biotechnology from Central University of Rajasthan. During my M.Sc. project, I worked on nanoparticles mediated drug delivery and its application in wound healing. Meanwhile, I joined the SG group in July 2019.  I am broadly interested in the use of nanoparticles to interrogate the biological systems and looking forward to applying Nanobiotechnology to unanswered questions of Alzheimer’s Disease. Outside of the lab, I have board interest in music, movies. While “Movie nerd” would describe me quite well, I’m all ears for any story you have to tell.

Rajsekhar  Roy (Ph.D Student)

Hello everyone, I have completed my M.S.(Pharm.) in medicinal Chemistry from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research(NIPER)-Kolkata. During my Masters project years at CSIR-IICB my efforts were directed toward developing multitargeted peptide-based component which can alter the Aβ-42 mediated toxicity in Alzheimer’s disease. I have joined the group here at IIT-Jodhpur in January, 2020. Here I will be focusing my work on applying the interface of chemical, biophysical, and molecular/cellular biology approaches to understand how protein misfolding and aggregation contribute to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) on a molecular level. Apart from these I would describe myself as a passionate Bengali who likes good music, good food and obviously, Rabindranath Tagore.
